About Us

The Derinya Basketball Club is a not-for-profit junior sporting club, which consistently has over 200 players registering each year. The players predominantly come from the Derinya Primary School, Frankston, Victoria, however, we also accept players from other schools too.

Derinya Basketball Club has around 28 to 30 teams registered each year with the Frankston District Basketball Association, in their Saturday junior competition. The teams are represented by boys and girls from Grades 1 to 6, and Derinya Basketball Club fully supports this entry level competition. The competition starts in term 1 and concludes with finals held at the start of term 4.

Our teams are selected each year based on the number of registered players, with some grade levels having multiple teams.

Training is conducted once a week at the new Derinya Centre, and scheduling ranges between 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Tuesdays to Thursdays.
