Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Derinya Basketball Club will be held at 7.30pm on Tuesday 7th September 2010 in the Derinya Primary School Staff Room.

It would be great to see lots of you there with a smile and a willingness to help out, even if it’s just a small job. Help keep our club up and running so our kids can enjoy getting on the courts to play basketball.

To those who attend the AGM, FANTASTIC PRIZES will be drawn on the night.

Sponsorship Continues

The Derinya Basketball Club is pleased to announce the continuation of their sponsorship by 'Sportspower Frankston'. Brendan, the owner of the store, has advised our president of the removal of all expiry dates from their Loyalty Card promotion.

This means that previously issued cards from 2009, that originally were to expiry on 30 June 2010, are still active and families of the Derinya Basketball Club (past and present) are still entitled to receive a 10% discount off all items in the store. (Discount not applicable during other promotions or sales)

New families to our club will be issued with Loyalty Discount Cards soon. If you don't have a card yet or forget to bring it when out shopping, don't worry, just let Brendan or his staff know that you are part of the Derinya Basketball Club and they will look after you.

If you are a coach and need some fresh ideas for your training, we have a couple of links on our LINKS page and the internet itself is a great resource.
During your game don't forget to give all your players equal court time and encourage them to pass the ball around as much as possible. See our coaches code of conduct for more info.
